Foliage in silver, plum, pink and near-black - the loudest leaf colour of any plant we grow.
Begonia rex is grown entirely for its leaves, which spiral into swirls of silver, wine, pink and deep purple depending on the variety. It wants humidity and dislikes wet crowns, but nothing else on a market table pulls colour like a bench of rex begonias in fall. Offered in 4" and 6" pots, shipped well-rooted from our Lineville, Alabama nursery.

Why we only ship Mondays and Tuesdays
A plant in a dark box is on a clock. Shipping early in the week means it reaches you before the weekend instead of sitting in a warehouse from Friday to Monday. It costs us a day or two of lead time and saves a lot of plants.
Practically: an order placed Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or over the weekend goes out the following Monday. We'd rather tell you that now than let you find it in a tracking number.
How long it takes once it leaves
Typical ground transit from Lineville, Alabama after the ship day. Estimates, not guarantees — weather and carrier backlogs happen.

- Low MaintenanceNo routine pruning, staking, deadheading or feeding to stay presentable. Not the same as no water in the first season.
- Pet SafeNo compound known to be toxic to cats or dogs. Any plant eaten in volume can upset a stomach — this means no known toxin, not a licence to graze.
- EvergreenLeaves stay on and working through winter, replaced gradually instead of all at once. Year-round structure, and a windbreak where you need one.
- Good for ContainersCompact, fibrous roots that tolerate a confined pot. Container soil dries several times faster than a bed, so check it more often than you think you need to.
