Fresh Lemon Thyme - Cut Bunch

Unit: Fresh Bunch

Unlike soft lemon herbs, lemon thyme holds its character through roasting and braising, which makes it far more useful in the kitchen than lemon balm or verbena. Strip the tiny leaves from the woody stem, or drop whole sprigs in and pull the bare stems out later. It pairs with anything you would already hit with lemon and butter. Cut fresh and sold through local Alabama delivery, farm pickup, and our farmers-market stand.

  • Grown in: Lineville, Alabama (no synthetic pesticides)
  • Freshness: Harvested at peak and sold fresh
  • Availability: Seasonal - local Alabama delivery & pickup
  • Storage: Refrigerate and enjoy fresh
  • Light: Grown in full sun
  • Water: Grown lean and dry once established
  • Soil: Grown in sharply drained, gritty soil, which concentrates the oils and keeps the crowns from rotting.
  • Feeding: Fed almost nothing; rich soil makes thyme rangy and bland.
