We recommend Oxalis triangularis and Oxalis versicolor for this climate; both handle zone 8a well in containers or as a front-of-border edging, and triangularis in particular will run all season with almost no attention. Avoid Oxalis adenophylla, the silvery Andean alpine sold in many bulb catalogs - it is a high-elevation plant that will not persist through a Southern summer. Note that oxalis contains soluble oxalates and is mildly toxic to cats and dogs, causing drooling and stomach upset if chewed, so site pots out of reach of nibbling pets. Shipped in a Pack of 10, well-rooted from our Lineville, Alabama nursery.
