Pack: Bundle of 50 Sets

Yellow onions in Alabama must be short-day or intermediate-day varieties; long-day northern types simply will not bulb this far south and are the number one reason Southern gardeners end up with scallions instead of onions. Get them planted in the dead of winter so the plants put on maximum top growth before spring day length flips them into bulbing mode, since each leaf becomes a ring. Harvest when about half the tops flop over, then cure the bulbs in a shaded, airy spot for two to three weeks before storing. Shipped in a Bundle of 50 Sets, well-rooted from our Lineville, Alabama nursery.
