Description

Oriental lilies are workable in zone 8a but they are particular: give them sharp drainage on a raised bed or slope, morning sun with afternoon shade, and generous air movement, because botrytis pressure in Alabama humidity is high and crowded plantings will spot and defoliate. Mulch the root zone to keep it cool, stake the tall stems before they bud, and water at the base rather than overhead. Critical safety note: every part of a lily, including the pollen and the water in a cut-flower vase, is fatal to cats and causes acute kidney failure - do not grow or bring these into a home with cats. Shipped in a Pack of 10, well-rooted from our Lineville, Alabama nursery.

Why we only ship Mondays and Tuesdays

A plant in a dark box is on a clock. Shipping early in the week means it reaches you before the weekend instead of sitting in a warehouse from Friday to Monday. It costs us a day or two of lead time and saves a lot of plants.

Practically: an order placed Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or over the weekend goes out the following Monday. We'd rather tell you that now than let you find it in a tracking number.

How long it takes once it leaves
