Description

Be realistic: celeriac is difficult in Alabama, needing four months of cool, evenly moist growing that our spring rarely supplies before June heat shuts it down. Your best odds are a very early spring planting in a rich, water-retentive bed, or a late-summer planting harvested through a mild fall and early winter. Never let it dry out, mulch heavily, and strip the lower side roots in late season to encourage one smooth bulb. Shipped in a 4" Pot, well-rooted from our Lineville, Alabama nursery.

  • Feeding: Feed every two to three weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer; celeriac is a heavy, continuous feeder.

Why we only ship Mondays and Tuesdays

A plant in a dark box is on a clock. Shipping early in the week means it reaches you before the weekend instead of sitting in a warehouse from Friday to Monday. It costs us a day or two of lead time and saves a lot of plants.

Practically: an order placed Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or over the weekend goes out the following Monday. We'd rather tell you that now than let you find it in a tracking number.

How long it takes once it leaves
